Aaron Rodgers is taking the spotlight away from college football stars and Tim Tebow.

It's NFL draft night and Aaron Rodgers is stealing the show. While young players are about to find out where their new home will be, the Green Bay Packers quarterback stole their spotlight. According to various reports, Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. Oh, by the way, Tim Tebow is also planning a comeback and it won't be as a quarterback.

Who knows what the heart of the issue is. The drama officially began during the 2020 NFL draft and has clearly escalated. The Packers made one of the strangest draft moves in history last year when they traded up to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round. The pick baffled the NFL world and apparently had Rodgers fuming.

The pick wasn't bizarre solely because Rodgers still has plenty of gas left in the tank. It raised eyebrows because the Packers were one game away from reaching the Super Bowl, yet they drafted a player who likely wouldn't see significant time on the field for at least a couple of years. Rodgers showed how foolish the move was by guiding the Pack to a return trip to the NFC title game while winning the MVP.

On Thursday, ESPN's Adam Schefter dropped a bomb on Twitter several hours before the NFL draft. He reported Rodgers no longer wanted to play for the Packers. “Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday,” Schefter wrote.

Speculation has run wild regarding Rodgers' demand

The timing of Rodgers making these demands makes sense if he truly no longer wants to play for the Packers. It came out the day of the 2021 NFL draft. Although Rodgers' desire to leave the only place he's called home in the NFL takes some of the shine off the college football players, it could possibly generate a draft-night deal.

Rumors have swirled that the Packers won't trade Rodgers. The San Francisco 49ers reportedly offered the third overall pick in the draft, along with other picks and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for Rodgers. It was also reported that Rodgers believed he was being dealt to the Niners.

Other reports have said the Packers have been trying to work on an extension with Rodgers. Rodgers is either unhappy with the organization after the Love pick or he's fuming over the team not renegotiating his deal, or both. Either way, the Packers and Rodgers appear to be in for an ugly Brett Favre-like divorce.

By the way, Tim Tebow is attempting an NFL comeback

Rodgers has stolen the spotlight from the soon-to-be NFL players and he's also taken it away from Tim Tebow. Ian Rapoport broke the news on Twitter that Tebow, a former quarterback and first-round pick of the Denver Broncos, is looking to make a return to the NFL. Tebow had been dabbling in professional baseball in the New York Mets organization and recently called it quits.

Rapoport stated that Tebow recently had a workout with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville has the top pick in the draft and is likely to take Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Don't worry, though. Tebow won't be competing at quarterback.

Rapoport tweeted, “Update on a former first-round pick: Tim Tebow recently worked out for the #Jaguars, source said, and there has been at least some discussion of him signing. Oh, and he’s a tight end now.”
