The New York Giants are winning the NFL offseason when it comes to run-ins with the law. The latest incident, involving kicker Aldrick Rosas, makes it two arrests in a month on serious charges for Giants players.
Defensive back DeAndre Baker was arrested last month in connection with an alleged robbery.

TMZ was first to report that New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas, 25, was arrested Monday in his hometown in California in connection with an alleged hit-and-run.
Rosas was a Pro Bowl selection in 2018 after making all 28 of his field-goal attempts from inside 50 yards and going 32-for-33 overall.
According to police, Rosas’ SUV was traveling at an estimated 100 mph in Chico, California, at about 8:25 a.m. when it ran a red light and T-boned a pickup truck at the intersection. The report said Rosas drove off afterward before his vehicle broke down not far from the crash scene.
Police told the website a witness saw Rosas, who appeared bloodied, leave his car and run. He was apprehended a short time afterward. Rosas was charged with hit-and-run and driving with a suspended license, and police were investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the accident.
It was not immediately known whether the occupants of the pickup truck were injured.
The Giants released a statement shortly after the news broke. In it, the team said it was aware of the situation and had been in contact with Aldrick. The Giants said there would be no further comment at this time.

New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas signed his restricted free-agent contract on March 16 and is due $3.2 million from the team for the 2020 season.
Rosas came to the Giants in 2017 after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans the previous year and later released. He had played his college football at Southern Oregon University, an NAIA school.
Rosas has played in 48 regular-season games, all with the Giants. He has made 62 of 75 field-goal attempts and 86 of 94 tries on extra points.
His most impressive season by far was in 2018, when he made 32 of 33 attempts on field goals, earning Rosas a spot in the Pro Bowl. He was a more modest 12-for-17 last year, which tempered interest in him this offseason as a restricted free agent. Signing him would have required a team to send a compensatory draft pick to the Giants.
His longest NFL field goal is a 57-yarder in December 2018 that broke a Giants record set in 1983 by Ali Haji-Sheikh.
An embarrassing offseason for the New York Giants
The arrest of Aldrick Rosas in California came one month after New Giants cornerback Dandre Baker was arrested in Florida on armed robbery charges.
Baker was charged with four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm in an alleged robbery in mid-May. He entered a not guilty plea and is free on a $200,000 bond.
Baker’s attorney has been adamant that the player will be cleared by the Broward County prosecutor’s office based on what he contends are inconsistent witness accounts.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar also was charged with four counts of armed robbery in the incident and pleaded not guilty.
