Jason Levy is the CEO of Betr. His company plans to launch a traditional sportsbook by the start of the 2024 NFL season. Levy is marketing the product as easy to use. He said it’s going to be a simple and “intuitive” product. Boxer/influencer Jake Paul and Jason Levy founded Betr in 2022. It first came onto the scene as a micro-betting app. Since then, they’ve added daily fantasy sports product Betr picks.

Betr markets itself as a “different” sportsbook in a highly competitive industry. They believe their mix of social media and viral videos will lead to a different demographic of customers. Jason Levy had this to say at the Benzinga’s virtual event earlier this month.

The new sports betting platform will offer a simpler and more intuitive product experience” - Jason Levy

Betr claims their sportsbook will be predicated on user-friendliness

In an initial January announcement about a possible sportsbook, Betr noted how they want a streamlined, straightforward product. One of their main goals is to keep the casual fan in mind. The beta version of their sportsbook is offered in Ohio and Virginia. Betr plans to expand into Indiana, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Kentucky, and Maryland. Jason Levy had this to say.

We’re going to methodically roll out the sportsbook platform in a manner where we’re looking to get to profitability on a state-by-state basis, ensuring we can cover operating expenses and minimum guarantees in each of these states before expanding further,” - Jason Levy

In 2024, Betr received $15 million in funding to help enter the sports-betting landscape.

Betr noted that an online casino could be coming to Pennsylvania

The sports betting industry operator is eyeing the booming PA online casino market. Pennsylvania is just two years removed from its initial launch of a sports betting market. However, the Keystone State is thriving. Earlier this year, Betr secured a key market access partnership with Cordish Gaming Group. They are responsible for Pennsylvania retail operations like Live! Casino Philadelphia and Live! Casino Pittsburgh. Betr CEO Jason Levy gave a loose timeline and said that its online casino should launch in the next year or so. Regardless, Betr is on its way to being offered in PA.
