Caesars Sportsbook has Nelly Korda with the lowest odds to win the U.S. Women’s Open

This week, the 79th U.S. Women’s Open is at the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In total, 156 players will step foot on the 124-year-old golf course. They are competing for $12 million in prize money and the right to win one of the top four majors in women’s golf. All eyes will be on world #1 golfer, Nelly Korda. 

Caesars Sportsbook says Korda is the heavy-betting favorite to win with (+300) odds. The next closest golfer is at (+2000). Significantly higher odds than Nelly Korda. She has the shortest pre-tournament odds of any golfer (male or female) since Tiget Woods in 2009. He had (+175) odds to win the U.S. Open. Woods ended up placing sixth. It’s no surprise Nelly Korda is the favorite to win the Women’s U.S. Open. She’s on an incredible hot streak, winning six of her last seven events. Korda won the Chevron Championship earlier this year. It was the first major championship of the season. This week's 79th U.S. Open will be the second.

Nelly Korda has dominated the LPGA this year

In her professional career, Nelly Korda has two career majors. She won the Chevron Championship earlier this year and her first major was in 2021. Korda is looking to win her third this week at the Lancaster Country Club. Additionally, Korda is chasing her seventh win in her last eight events. The U.S. Open is the longest-running major in women’s golf and Nelly Korda would love to continue her dominance. At (+300) she has the lowest odds of any golfer to win the 2024 Women’s U.S. Open. 

Earlier in the year, Nelly Korda tied the records of Nancy Lopez and Annika Sorenstam for winning five consecutive tournaments. After winning five in a row, Korda tied for seventh at the Cognizant Founders Cup. However, she got back on track in her next event. Winning the Mizuho Americas Classic. Nelly Korda has six wins before June 1, putting her in the record books with some elite company. The only other players to accomplish that feat were Hall of Famers Babe Zaharias, Louise Suggs, and Lorena Ochoa. 

The 79th U.S. Open will be the 10th of Nelly Korda’s career. If she wins this weekend, it would be the second leg of a potential grand slam. She’s already won the Chevron Championship but still needs the U.S. Women’s Open, the Women’s PGA Championship, and the Evian Championship.
