Kansas City Chiefs defensive end BJ Thompson is in stable condition at an area hospital after having a seizure and going into cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports.

Thompson, 25, was taken to the hospital by ambulance from the team's practice facility Thursday morning.
The Chiefs sent players home from the facility instead of holding their regularly scheduled OTA practice. The practice has been rescheduled for Friday.
Moreover, Thompson was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2023 draft from Stephen F. Austin. He played in one NFL game as a rookie, recording two tackles.

Additionally, it was Kansas City's regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers, when the Chiefs already had clinched its playoff spot and the game's outcome was meaningless.
The reigning Super Bowl champions are currently in Phase Two of their voluntary offseason program. Mandatory minicamp is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
Thompson played two years at Baylor, two years at Stephen F. Austin in the NCAA
Of course, the 6-foot-6, 243-pound lineman started his college career at Baylor, where he played for two years (2017-18) and tallied 18 tackles, six going for a loss, five sacks, and two pass deflections. He transferred to Stephen F. Austin in 2019.
In 2020, Thompson played in all 10 games on the season for the Lumberjacks. The Arkansas native logged 18 solo tackles and 28 total tackles, leading the team with 8.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.
Furthermore, he made an interception against West Texas (Oct. 1) and recovered a fumble against Abilene Christian (Oct. 24). As a Lumberjack, he also posted four total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and forced three quarterback hurries against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 7).
During the 2021 season, Thompson appeared in all 12 games with Stephen F. Austin. Not to mention, he amassed 12 solo tackles and 26 total tackles, ranking third on the team with 12.5 tackles for loss and second on the team with 9.5 sacks. Plus, he recorded two forced fumbles and fumble recoveries and three quarterback hurries.
In fact, he was named first-team All-WAC in 2021 and 2022.
