The NFC West was the only division in football to send three teams to the playoffs last season. The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers then met in the NFC Championship Game for their third matchup of the season, and the Rams went on to win their first Super Bowl since 2000.

As we approach the 2022-23 season, let's check out the betting breakdown of the NFC West division and try to find a winning futures bet along the way.

The Rams will be returning their stellar core of Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey from last year's Super Bowl roster. They also added Allen Robinson in free agency to possibly replace Odell Beckham Jr.

Unsurprisingly, LA has been pegged as the betting favorite to repeat as NFC West champs. The Rams are +125 to win the division, with the 49ers (+200) and Arizona Cardinals (+300) close behind on the odds board. The post-Russell Wilson Seattle Seahawks are all the way back at 15/1.

Despite being the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Rams aren't the favorites to repeat in 2023. LA (+1100) is behind the Buffalo Bills (+650), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750), and the Kansas City Chiefs (+950) on the odds board.

NFC West best bet

Rams to win NFC West (+125)

I'm keeping it simple for my NFC West best bet. Don't overthink this one.

I see no dropoff from last year's Rams to this year's team, and I have a ton of questions about the other contenders in the division. Trey Lance has the talent to become a star in this league, but I don't think it'll materialize in his first year as the starter. As for the Cardinals, I can't trust the duo of Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury until I see it work over a full 17-game season. The Seahawks don't worry me at all with Drew Lock under center.

As long as the Rams stay healthy in 2022-23, they have the ability to run away with this division and contend for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. The +125 price is just a bonus.
