Philip Rivers is a family man above an NFL quarterback, and he's fathered almost enough children to fill out an NFL offense.

Philip Rivers might be the most underappreciated quarterback of this century. He ranks sixth in NFL history in both touchdown passes and passing yards, but he's rarely placed in the same category as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees. Rivers is still chucking passes at the age of 38. Although his passing records are prolific, his most impressive stat might be the number of children he's fathered. Pretty soon, he'll have an entire offense of Rivers' around him.

Philip Rivers‘ NFL career has been largely hijacked by the many legendary quarterbacks who excelled during the same era. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Brett Favre were all considered Hall of Famers before their careers even ended, but Rivers should be viewed the same way.

Rivers ranks sixth in NFL history in passing touchdowns (397) and passing yards (59,271). If he plays a full season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020, he will likely pass Dan Marino for fifth on both lists.

If Marino was a surefire Hall of Famer, Rivers should be too.

Over the course of his NFL career, Rivers holds a 123-101 overall record. He led the Chargers to six playoff appearances in his 14 years in San Diego. Despite his sustained success, however, he's never reached a Super Bowl.

Rivers has made eight Pro Bowls in his career. He's thrown for over 4,000 yards in 11 of the last 12 seasons, making him one of the most consistent QBs over the entire century.

Philip Rivers has almost enough children to field an NFL offense

On this Father's Day, Philip Rivers might be the most excited of any NFL dad out there. Rivers has a total of nine children with his wife, Tiffany. The Father's Day cards and numerous gifts must be overflowing Rivers' kitchen counter right about now.

Rivers' children range from ages 17 to one. Halle is the first and oldest child, and Anna is the newest member of the family who was born just last year. In all, Rivers has seven girls and two boys in the family.

Halle (17), Caroline (14), Grace (13), Sarah (9), Rebecca (9), Clare (4), and Anna (1) round up the girls. Gunner (11) and Peter (8) represent the only boys.

With his nine children, Rivers can almost field an entire NFL offense around him. He has a full offensive line and a few dangerous weapons at receiver, but he needs just one more to fill out an 11-man offensive unit.

As exhausting as raising nine children must be, Philip Rivers might not be finished yet. He's publically said that he and Tiffany are open to having a 10th child. And why wouldn't they? If you have the opportunity to create an entire NFL offense of children, you do it.

Rivers' child-producing skills are so famed that a sportsbook recently offered odds as to whether Rivers will have a 10th kid or retire from the NFL first. BetOnline made have a 10th child the favorite at -160.

According to Vegas, Rivers isn't done having kids, and he might just fill out that NFL offense before he retires from the league.
