Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh is a former American professional basketball player. He played a single season of college basketball at Georgia Tech before declaring for the NBA draft in 2003. He was selected by the Toronto Raptors fourth overall.

During his time at Toronto, Bosh was a five-time NBA All-Star; played for the U.S. national team, winning gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics; and was named to the All-NBA Second Team.

In 2010, a sign-and-trade deal saw Bosh traded to the Miami Heat — where he, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James were known as the Big Three. With the Miami Heat, Bosh made it to the NBA Finals every year from 2011 to 2014; the team won in 2012 and 2013. He also made the NBA All-Star team every year while at Miami.

The NBA ruled Bosh's blood clotting condition a career-ending illness; his final NBA game was on Feb. 9, 2016. Although he fought to keep playing for several years, Bosh officially announced in February 2019 his intention to retire.  In 2021, he was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
