Kevin Garnett is an American former professional basketball player for the NBA (National Basketball Association). During his career, Garnett played for the Minnesota Timberwolves (1995-2007, 2015-2016), the Boston Celtics (2007-2013), and the Brooklyn Nets (2013-2015.
Kevin Garnett began playing basketball in high school and participated in the 1995 McDonald's All-American Game, winning the National Player of the Year Award. While he had planned to attend college, Garnett's ACT scores were below NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) standards. This influenced him to try out for the NBA, where he was drafted right out of high school to start with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Having retired from professional basketball in 2016, Kevin Garnett leaves behind a profound legacy.
