If Kevin Durant hadn\u2019t been on the Golden State Warriors during some of those years, the Cavaliers could have potentially become a dynasty. However, it wasn\u2019t always easy for them. There always seemed to be outside noise, and Love, James, and Kyrie Irving had to learn how to play together. In fact, while they were trying to figure that out, James had a tweet that actually bothered Love at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kevin Love became the third star on the Cavaliers after dominating on the Timberwolves<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kevin Love opens up about LeBron, battle with anxiety and depression | Get Up! | ESPN\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UDKVpqScOsw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/drew-gooden-just-revealed-how-lebron-james-motivates-his-teammates-to-win\/\">Drew Gooden Just Revealed How LeBron James Motivates His Teammates To Win<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love began his career with <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/flip-saunders-tragic-death-shook-the-minnesota-timberwolves-organization-to-its-core\/\">the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>, and he became a superstar while he was there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a couple of decent seasons, Love became an All-Star in 2010-11. He averaged 20.2 points per game that season and led the NBA in rebounds per game with 15.2. Over the next few seasons, Love then continued to improve,  and became one of the best big men in the NBA as he averaged 26 points per game and over 12 rebounds in both of the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in the summer of 2014, the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Love from the Timberwolves, teaming him up with LeBron James and <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/kyrie-irving-has-admitted-to-believing-in-other-conspiracy-theories-along-with-his-earth-is-flat-one\/\">Kyrie Irving<\/a>. Love\u2019s numbers then took a hit over the next four years since he was no longer the main star, but the Cavaliers had a ton of success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While he averaged 17.1 points per game and 10 rebounds in those four seasons, the Cavaliers made four straight NBA Finals appearances. For Love, he had to change everything for the Cavaliers to be successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI really had to transition my body into being a little bit lighter,\u201d Love said on JJ Redick\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Old Man and The Three<\/em>\u00a0podcast. \u201cBut also, I was like: \u2018OK, I\u2019m going to have to shoot a lot of threes. He had games where he would score 25 to 30 points and others where he would just score five or six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was hard for him to learn how to fit in, which led to LeBron James <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KingJames\/status\/564281844271947777\">tweeting<\/a> this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStop trying to find a way to FIT-OUT and just FIT-IN. Be apart of something special! Just my thoughts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That tweeted ended up bothering Love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think on one end it was extremely passive-aggressive and silly,\u201d Love said in December 2019 to <a href=\"https:\/\/theathletic.com\/1468812\/2019\/12\/18\/a-conversation-with-kevin-love-his-legacy-lebron-group-chats-and-his-future\/\">The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cBut at the same time, I feel like I did have to find my way and fit in. But it wasn\u2019t an easy process for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love also said that he took it personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy star dimmed a little bit to have to sacrifice,\u201d Love said, according to The Athletic. \u201cSo at least just acknowledge it. All I wanted was a little bit of love. All I wanted was (a pat on the back, an arm around the shoulder). I never got that. I think I just wanted a little bit of love. Still.
