He told the story about when he went to a <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/76ers-owner-pat-croce-was-forced-to-fire-his-own-brother-for-committing-a-petty-crime-against-allen-iverson\/\">Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> game and talked trash to James Harden, who played for the Houston Rockets at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kevin Hart Trash-Talked James Harden\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/omPDSQ82tKM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI go there to sit courtside to mess with the players; that\u2019s literally all I go for,\u201d Hart said. \u201cIt gets so bad because they can tell when I\u2019ve had too many drinks because I\u2019m slurring, going, \u2018You ain\u2019t gonna make that shot.\u2019 \u2026 I pissed James Harden off. So, I\u2019m in Philadelphia, we\u2019re filming [<em>The Upside<\/em>], and I had a day off, so I decided to go to the Sixers game. <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/james-harden-best-season-rockets-shockingly-embracing-offensive-style-always-shunned\/\">James Harden is playing in the game<\/a>, and the whole first quarter, he\u2019s off. I was like, \u2018You know why you off? Because you\u2019re in my city. Your beard stinks. I hate you.'\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talking trash to James Harden, though, did not turn out well for Hart or the Sixers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-james-harden-dropped-over-50-points-during-that-game\">James Harden dropped over 50 points during that game<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During that same appearance with Kimmel, Hart then said that James Harden ultimately got mad about him talking so much trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"James Harden 51 Points, 13 Boards, and 13 Assists\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i5QrauR78hs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe said, \u2018Remember all of this.\u2019 He said, \u2018I\u2019m about to cook you,'\u201d Hart said. \u201cI said, \u2018You gonna cook me? Well, put me in a pot because I\u2019m ready to be cooked.\u2019 We\u2019re talking; I don\u2019t even know why he\u2019s paying me this much attention. At some point, I was like, \u2018James; this is very unprofessional on your behalf. You\u2019re not even supposed to be talking to me this much.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/2713238-kevin-hart-recalls-trash-talking-james-harden-into-50-point-effort-vs-sixers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bleacher Report<\/a>, James Harden ended up dropping 51 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists, and the Rockets beat the 76ers 123-118.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith like a minute left, he was dribbling the ball standing at half-court, and he was just staring at me,\u201d Hart said. \u201cHe goes, \u2018Tell your team what you did to them.\u2019 I said, \u2018You keep your mouth shut. That\u2019s our business.\u2019 He scorched us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, that\u2019s hilarious. No, James Harden did not win an NBA championship with the Houston Rockets, but he proved that he could score on anyone at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-james-harden-is-still-a-dominant-presence-now-with-the-76ers\">James Harden is still a dominant presence, now with the 76ers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>James Harden went to the Houston Rockets in 2012-13 after spending his first three NBA seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Harden became a star immediately, too, as he earned an All-Star selection and scored 25 points per game or more in every season that he played in with Houston. Harden\u2019s dominance for the Rockets helped him win the 2017-18 NBA MVP award, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his career, James Harden &#8212; who now plays for the 76ers &#8212; averages 24.7 points per game. In 2022, he joined\u00a0Oscar Robertson, LeBron James,\u00a0and Russell Westbrook as the only players in history with 6,500 career assists and 23,000 career points. This past season, Harden led the NBA in assists with 10.7.
