During the offseason, though, their <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/giannis-antetokounmpo-can-thank-his-mom-for-his-228-million-contract\/\">love for Greece<\/a> takes hold. They spend a lot of their off-hours working on the AntetokounBros Academy with sponsors. Most of them made it to the NBA and are currently active. Giannis is, of course, by far the most successful and famous. But each has accomplished incredible things in sports, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/sport\/3321734\/giannis-antetokounmpo-brothers-family\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The U.S. Sun<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/thanasis-antetokounmpo-doesnt-get-hype-brother-giannis-but-his-energy-unmatched\/\">Thanasis Antetokounmpo<\/a> plays for the Bucks alongside Giannis. He's a reliable pick to enter games off the bench since joining the team in 2019.<\/li><li>Alex Antetokounmpo is the youngest brother. He started his career playing Euroleague ball with UCAM Murcia before switching gears to join the NBA G League with the Raptors 905.<\/li><li>The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Kostas Antetokounmpo in 2018. He has played for several NBA teams since, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. He currently plays for ASVEL Basket in the Euroleague.<\/li><li>Francis Antetokounmpo is the oldest brother. He <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/night-giannis-antetokounmpo-father-passed-away-he-found-solace-at-the-gym\/\">spent much of his childhood<\/a> in Nigeria, living with his grandparents. Francis is a rapper these days, but he played soccer professionally as a midfielder for a second-tier team in Greece after mo there to be with his family.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-antetokounmpo-brothers-work-hard-to-elevate-greek-youth-basketball\">The Antetokounmpo brothers work hard to elevate Greek youth basketball<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Antetokoun\u0392ros-Academy-Summer-Camp-2021.jpg?w=925&#038;strip=all&#038;quality=89\" alt=\"Young athletes play basketball at Giannis Antetokounmpo's Antetokoun\u0392ros Academy\" class=\"wp-image-1515589\" width=\"1200\"\/><figcaption>Giannis Antetokounmpo's Antetokoun\u0392ros Academy |  Antetokounbros Academy Channel via <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Ikw41RLlvVg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Youtube<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During their spare time, the Antetokounmpo brothers unite to help young Greek basketball players get their chance to shine. <a href=\"https:\/\/clutchpoints.com\/bucks-news-giannis-antetokounmpo-opens-up-youth-academy-in-greece\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ClutchPoints<\/a> reports that the talented siblings joined up with Nike, the Onassis Foundation, and the EuroHoops Organization to found the AntetokounBros Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the AntetokounBros <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antetokounbrosacademy.net\/en\/mission-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">official website<\/a>, the Athens-based foundation focuses on disadvantaged youth from all gender, racial, and religious backgrounds. It gives kids who came up poor, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/giannis-antetokounmpo-ready-quit-nba-return-greece-family-couldnt-move\/\">like the Antetokounmpos did<\/a>, a fair shot at proving themselves on the court. While the program is focused on developing basketball skills for both players and budding coaches, it also provides services for developing life skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Academy, their third and most recent season wraps this month. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onassis.org\/initiatives\/onassis-educational-programs\/antetokounbros-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Onassis Foundation<\/a> notes that the season is designed to help 100 players and 12 coaches develop game and life skills. But it's not limited to that one practice. The brothers also set up <a href=\"https:\/\/antetokounbros.shop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an official shop<\/a> to sell shirts, bags, and more carrying their branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even as they all develop their professional careers, mostly on separate teams, the brothers insist on working together. It's clear Giannis is the <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/giannis-milwaukee-bucks-best-player-jrue-holiday-most-indispensable\/\">best player by far<\/a>. But that never seems to matter. Gus has his grandfather to thank for his early interest in baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. He also grew up in Michael Jordan's Bulls heyday, so he'll never shake the NBA. Gus is into gaming as a hobby, particularly fighting games. In his view, the gaming world is the oldest esports scene, and following that growth helps with writing about the business side of sports, as well as any esports connections that come up in sports writing.
