All series, Green had been the target of Celtics fans for his <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/draymond-green-showing-if-you-cant-play-with-them-antagonize-them\/\">antagonistic style of play on the court.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his <em>Draymond Green Show,<\/em> Green praised the Celtics for their offseason moves. Boston made some noise, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/the-malcolm-brogdon-trade-wasnt-just-a-steal-for-the-boston-celtics\/\">trading for veteran point guard Malcolm Brodgon.<\/a> According to Green, that deal could be the &#8220;trade of the summer.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-draymond-green-drew-the-ire-of-boston-celtics-fans\">Draymond Green drew the ire of Boston Celtics fans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img alt=\"Draymond Green Believes the Boston Celtics Made a Statement With the Malcolm Brogdon Trade\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1250\" height=\"1005\" src=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Draymond-Green-Celtics.jpg?w=925&#038;strip=all&#038;quality=89\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1519162\" \/><figcaption>Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors celebrates with the NBA Championship trophy during the Golden State Warriors Victory Parade on June 20, 2022, in San Francisco, California. | Thearon W. Henderson\/Getty Images.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To be blunt, Green was awful for most of the NBA Finals. Through the first four games of the series,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/draymond-green-responds-to-his-mothers-tweet-about-his-struggles-on-the-court\/\">Green had more fouls (18) than points (17).<\/a> Warriors coach Steve Kerr had Green on the bench late in games because of his struggles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During Game 2, Green's antics got out of hand. He got in the faces of several Celtics players. After fouling Jaylen Brown on a three-point attempt, Green tried to pull Brown's shorts down as he got up. Green couldn't compete on the court, so he tried to play the mental game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the series shifted to Boston for Games 3 and 4, Celtics fans showed no mercy on the Warriors forward. They booed Green when he touched the ball. They had expletive-filled chants directed at him, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/klay-thompson-blasts-classy-celtics-fans-for-f-bombs-while-draymond-green-berates-reporter-swears-in-front-of-his-own-kid\/\">prompting teammate Klay Thompson to blast those fans.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve played in front of rude people before,\u201d Thompson said. \u201cDropping F-bombs with children in the crowd\u2026 Real Classy. Good job, Boston.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, Green won. He rode Stephen Curry to Golden State's fourth championship since 2015. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-green-praised-the-celtics-for-their-offseason-trade-for-brogdon\">Green praised the Celtics for their offseason trade for Brogdon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Money23Green?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Money23Green<\/a> explains why he loves Malcolm Brogdon to the Celtics <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8bBW1K61rl\">pic.twitter.com\/8bBW1K61rl<\/a><\/p>&mdash; The Volume (@TheVolumeSports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheVolumeSports\/status\/1545120212357464065?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 7, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Green always has something to say, and that's why he has his own podcast. His Warriors were the better team. Now, he said the Celtics made a statement with that trade for Brogdon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston traded five players, including former first-round pick Aaron Nesmith, and a first-round pick to the Indiana Pacers for Brogdon. While it sounds like a lot, Boston kept all its core pieces in place and added a veteran who can score and distribute the ball. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe reason that trade catches my eyes is because I think it adds to something Boston was missing, which is, number one, their depth, number two is versatility and options at the point guard position,\u201d Green said. \u201cI don\u2019t think they had many options at the point guard position in this last playoff run\u00a0that your Warriors just won. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;And I think that gives them that. I think that was an absolutely incredible move by Boston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think that\u2019s one that let\u2019s you know, hey, we\u2019re not satisfied with losing in the NBA Finals and arguably, depending on what happens, could be the best trade.
