The Super Bowl 57 matchup is officially set, as the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Glendale, Ariz. in two weeks. These have been the two most impressive teams in the NFL all season long, so it's fitting they will meet in the championship game with the Lombardi Trophy on the line.

Almost immediately after the Chiefs knocked off the Cincinnati Bengals to solidify the championship matchup, sportsbooks opened up the Super Bowl 57 spread and total. They quickly learned they all made a mistake.

In a matter of minutes, a flood of money on the Eagles pushed the spread as many as 2.5 points away from the original line. That wasn't exactly a shocking move, but now Patrick Mahomes finds himself in an unfamiliar, yet comforting spot.

The Eagles have been the best and most complete team in the NFL all year long. Combine that with the Chiefs dealing with injuries to Patrick Mahomes (ankle), Travis Kelce (back), and L'Jarius Sneed (concussion), and pro bettors clearly expected the Eagles to open as a short favorite in Super Bowl 57.

Only, they didn't.

Most sportsbooks opened the Super Bowl 57 spread at a pick-em Sunday night, but money immediately started rushing in on Philadelphia. The line quickly moved to Eagles -1, then -1.5, then -2. It eventually settled at Eagles -2.5, and that's where we sit at most books Monday morning.

As for the total, it opened at 49 most places and has been bet up to 50.

We probably won't see much more line movement leading up to the championship game, so the Eagles will close as short favorites to win Super Bowl 57.
