Thursday Night Football<\/em>\u00a0has been bad for a long time. It's one thing that teams only get about 96 hours to prepare, but the league also has a history of\u00a0putting bad games<\/a>\u00a0in the timeslot. The matchups have gotten a bit better after Amazon paid $1 billion a year for the rights to get into the\u00a0sports media<\/a>\u00a0business and broadcast the game\u00a0on Amazon Prime Video<\/a>. Now, the NFL is considering taking the next step and allowing Amazon to flex the matchups late in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is still no sign of the Commanders sale on the agenda for this week's Annual Meeting in Phoenix. Presumably, the owners will talk about it in privileged sessions on Monday (4 p.m.) and Tuesday (3:30 p.m.), but there's no vote.
