After his release, he worked a <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/kurt-warner-stocked-shelves-grocery-store-missing-nfl-draft\/\">minimum-wage job at an Iowa grocery store<\/a>. Then, Warner played for the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena Football League before playing a season in the now-defunct NFL Europe in 1998. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later in 1998, the <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/kurt-warner-rookie-card-worth\/\">Rams signed him<\/a>, and he became their starter in 1999. Warner earned league MVP honors after going 13-3 and throwing 41 touchdowns. He also <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/rams-greatest-show-on-turf-offense-would-still-rank-no-1-todays-nfl-weve-got-numbers-prove-it\/\">led the Rams to a Super Bowl title<\/a> that season and was named Super Bowl MVP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Warner ended up playing 12 seasons with the Rams, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/kurt-warner-giants-career-end-legendary-rookie-qb-took-over\/\">New York Giants<\/a>, and Arizona Cardinals, earning a second MVP in 2001. After the 2009 season, he retired. Because of his religious background. He explained to the NY Times how he has &#8220;kind of embraced&#8221; the number and that his &#8220;life is never dictated by superstitions.&#8221; His faith comes first for Warner.
