The same race the angry Joe Gibbs Racing driver dropped an f-bomb on national television and called him a hack in his post-race interview.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just over 24 hours later, the Hendrick Motorsports driver found himself on the wrong end of a wreck initiated by the <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/nascar-who-has-the-most-daytona-500-wins\/\">three-time Daytona 500 winner<\/a>. On Saturday at Atlanta, Bowman addressed what happened a week earlier in the Windy City and couldn't resist jokingly calling Hamlin a hack for his mistake.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-alex-bowman-still-bothered-by-martinsville-2021-incident-with-denny-hamlin\">Alex Bowman still bothered by Martinsville 2021 incident with Denny Hamlin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Alex_Bowman?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Alex_Bowman<\/a>\u2069 admits he still feels bad for unintentionally wrecking \u2066<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dennyhamlin?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@dennyhamlin<\/a>\u2069 at Martinsville in 2021. However, his response to one reporter's question on if the sanctioning body should discipline drivers for being too aggressive unsurprisingly caught the attention of those gathered.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;No. They can't. It's what the sport's built on,&#8221; Bowman said. &#8220;You see so many, honestly, intentional crashes used as highlight reels. How do you start penalizing people for it, in my opinion? Should it happen? No. That guy's got to live with that forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I'm the first to sit here and say I unintentionally crashed Denny at Martinsville, and it still bothers me that I crashed a guy for a win. That's not how I race. He's terrible,&#8221; Bowman said with a smile. &#8220;No, he just messed up and missed the corner and crashed into me just like I did to him at Martinsville. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;That corner was super wet. I talked to him yesterday and he just locked up and missed the corner. That's just part of it. I'm not angry about it. We had an engine failure that was completely unrelated so it was going to go poorly anyway.
