Jabeur entered as a -220 favorite, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/tennis\/news\/wimbledon-2023-scores-results-how-to-watch-notable-matches-schedule-from-the-all-england-club-in-london\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CBS Sports<\/a>, and was looking to avenge last year's loss to No. 17 Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon final. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vondrousova, a left-hander, trailed Jabeur, a 28-year-old star from Tunisia, in each set before rallying for the victory. The win was the first Grand Slam title in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vondrousova reached the championship round after defeating Elina Svitolina on Thursday, winning 6-3, 6-3. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/tennis\/article-12299967\/What-does-Wimbledon-star-Marketa-Vondrousovas-tattoos-mean.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Daily Mail,<\/a> the tennis star got her first tattoo when she was 16. She said they all have a special meaning. Above her right elbow, she has one that reads, &#8220;No rain, No flowers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in 2021, she explained the meaning to reporters, per The Daily Mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I think, you know, without failure, there is no success, so you have to go through some hard matches,&#8221; she said then. &#8220;Even if you lose, especially. If you keep believing in yourself, this is the reward.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After winning a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, she had the five Olympics rings inked on her body.
