No athlete since Jeremy Lin has captivated New York City like Tommy DeVito. The Italian quarterback has become a nationwide sensation since taking over the Giants offense at the end of October.

Not only is he a lovable character with a family straight out of the Sopranos, he's winning!

New York is 3-2 with the undrafted free agent as the starter. Brian Daboll's team has won more NFL games with DeVito than it did with Daniel Jones.

Unfortunately, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the man lovingly known as ‘Tommy Cutlets' does not have much hope to hold his current role into next season. Daniel Jones is set to return in time for training camp and the Giants reportedly have their mind made up about the quarterback position.

Garafolo says that DeVito is a “spot starter” who is hoping to earn the primary backup spot for next year. He implied that Jones will be the starting quarterback in 2024.

The marketing offers for Tommy DeVito have been rolling in (e.g. Italian food sponsorships). Right now, he’s locked in on being the #Giants’ spot starter with a chance to solidify his spot as their primary backup in 2024. https://t.co/xM8oWqkuqR
— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) December 17, 2023
