He might also be the most imaginative thinker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owens does not believe in the teachings of Italian philosopher Galileo Galilei, who once stood trial before the Roman Catholic Church for furthering the theory that the earth revolves around the sun. That &#8220;theory&#8221; has since been confirmed as scientific fact, but not everyone chooses to buy-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Put the former Red Raiders standout in that category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He not questions the validity of the heliocentric universe, but the universe as a whole. Owens revealed his unique beliefs at the NFL Draft Combine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I don't believe in space,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I'm real religious, so I think we're alone right now. I don't think there's other planets and other stuff like that.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked what prompted him to those beliefs, Owens cited those who think that the earth is flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I started seeing flat earth stuff and I was like, this is kind of interesting,&#8221; Owens said. &#8220;They started bringing up valid points, so I mean I don't know, could be real, couldn't be.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a slight smirk on his face as he offered his thoughts, but it was genuine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Texas Tech&#39;s Tyler Owens, who&#39;s a favorite to post the fastest 40 at this year&#39;s NFL combine, doesn&#39;t &quot;believe in space,&quot; as in &quot;other planets,&quot; and feels flat-earth theories have some &quot;valid points.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jE2jv9vyLv\">pic.twitter.com\/jE2jv9vyLv<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Brent Sobleski (@brentsobleski) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brentsobleski\/status\/1763214885142302759?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 29, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It appears as though Owens is among those who believe that the United States faked the moon landing in 1972.
