Juventus midfielder Nicol\u00f2 Fagioli returned to the squad list ahead of the Italian side's game against Bologna after serving a seven-month suspension for gambling on soccer games.<\/p>\n

Juventus' Nicol\u00f2 Fagioli received a 12-month suspension, \u20ac12,500 fine for gambling on soccer matches<\/h2>\n

Fagioli, 22, was the first name that emerged last September in the betting scandal, as the Italian midfielder admitted to personally placing bets on soccer matches at illegal online betting platforms.<\/p>\n

The Piacenza native reached an agreement with the Italian FA Prosecutor for a 12-month suspension, including five months being commuted to “alternative prescriptions.”<\/p>\n

Fagioli was also fined \u20ac12,500 (\u00a310,840; $13,180) after he was found to have violated Article 24 of the FIGC\u2019s sporting justice code. He had placed over-under bets on games \u2014 foreign and domestic.<\/p>\n
