The Philadelphia Eagles signed veteran wide receiver\u00a0John Ross to a one-year deal after a successful tryout, the team announced Thursday. Ross, 28, announced his retirement in 2023 and has not played in an NFL<\/a> game since 2021.<\/p>\n The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wideout participated in Philadelphia's rookie minicamp earlier this month for a tryout evaluation and performed well enough to earn another NFL contract.<\/p>\n Ross was selected ninth overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 draft out of the University of Washington. In his final season with the Huskies in 2016, he compiled 1,100 receiving yards and a Pac-12-leading 18 touchdowns.
