Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero<\/a>, the Vikings and Jefferson have agreed to terms on a four-year, 140 million-dollar contract extension that includes $110 million guaranteed. Jefferson receives $89 million fully guaranteed at signing.<\/p>\n

Jefferson announced the contract extension in a video on his social media accounts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jefferson, 25, is off to a historic start in his young NFL career. The former first-round pick has 392 receptions for 5,899 yards and 30 touchdowns in four seasons with the Vikings. The 5,899 career yards are the most in NFL history through four seasons. Jefferson's 98.3 receiving yards per game is also the most in NFL history during that timeframe.<\/p>\n
Jefferson won the AP's Offensive Player of the Year award in 2022 with a league-leading 128 receptions and 1,809 yards. Jefferson still surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in 2023, despite playing only 10 games.<\/p>\n
Jefferson will have a new quarterback throwing him the ball this season after Kirk Cousins signed with the Atlanta Falcons. The Vikings will turn to veteran Sam Darnold or rookie J.J. McCarthy as their new quarterback.<\/p>\n
