The deal was negotiated by WME Football.<\/p>\n<h2>San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is guaranteed his 2024 and 2025 salaries<\/h2>\n<p>McCaffrey, who turns 28 on Friday, is averaging $19 million with this new deal and will receive an additional $8 million over what he was slated to make in 2024 and 2025 while adding $24 million in guarantees. His new deal will keep him in San Francisco through the 2027 season.<\/p>\n<p>Following the new contract agreement, McCaffrey was back with the 49ers for the start of the mandatory minicamp Tuesday after skipping the voluntary portion of the team's offseason program.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey once again has reset the RB market, signing a two-year extension with the 49ers, averaging $19 million per year, per sources.<\/p>\n<p>McCaffrey will receive an additional $8 million over what he was scheduled to make in the first\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1AythHhGL3\">pic.twitter.com\/1AythHhGL3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/1798042911222939918?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 4, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<div class=\"editorial--metadata\"><\/div>\n<p>McCaffrey, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound feature back, had two years remaining on the four-year, $64 million extension he signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>However, those two seasons had zero remaining guaranteed dollars, with base salaries of $11.8 million in 2024 and $12 million in 2025. The extension guarantees those salaries and comes with $8 million more for McCaffrey.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time first-team All-Pro is coming off a season in which he recorded 2,023 yards from scrimmage and 21 total touchdowns. He also led the league in touches (339) and rushing yards (1,459).<\/p>\n<h2>McCaffrey is the first player in Super Bowl history to have at least 75 rushing yards, 75 receiving yards in the same game<\/h2>\n<p>In Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs, McCaffrey rushed 22 times for 80 yards while catching all eight of his targets for 80 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n<p>He became the first player in Super Bowl history to have at least 75 rushing yards and 75 receiving yards in the same game.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers acquired McCaffrey from the Panthers at the 2022 trade deadline after sending 2023 second-round, third-round, and fourth-round picks along with a 2024 fifth-round selection to Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is still awaiting a long-term contract extension, has not reported to minicamp as of Tuesday morning. He is subject to fines in excess of $104,000 if he doesn't arrive over the next three days.<\/p>\n<p>Former Washington Commanders tight end <a href=\"https:\/\/sports7.us\/49ers-sign-veteran-te-logan-thomas-to-one-year-contract\/\">Logan Thomas<\/a> also agreed to a one-year contract with the Niners on Monday.
