Rob Pelinka offered job this morning and Redick\u2019s started working on a staff to surround himself with experience. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/G66eVFRALp\">pic.twitter.com\/G66eVFRALp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wojespn\/status\/1803866324730331335?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 20, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Redick and the Lakers have agreed to terms on a four-year deal to become the next head coach.<\/p>\n<p>General manager Rob Pelinka and owner Jeanie Buss met with Redick over the weekend, and conversations continued throughout this week.<\/p>\n<p>Per Wojnarowski, Pelinka offered the position on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pelinka became sold on Redick's ability to connect with players and his basketball IQ and believes surrounding Redick with an elite coaching staff will help shorten his learning curve into his first coaching job,&#8221; Wojnarowski reported.<\/p>\n<p>In early June, Shams Charania reported that Redick was the frontrunner in the Lakers' coaching search.
