Copeland, who turns 25 on July 20, spent time on the Steelers\u2019 practice squad in 2023.<\/p>\n<h2>Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Jacob Copeland went undrafted as a free agent in April 2023<\/h2>\n<p>The 6-foot, 201-pound wideout signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 draft. However, Tennessee cut him, and he later signed with the Minnesota Vikings during training camp. Minnesota then waived Copeland during the preseason.<\/p>\n<p>Copeland spent time with the Chiefs this offseason. He had a kick return for 26 yards and a pass reception for 16 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Copeland played in all 13 games of the 2019 season, recording 21 catches for 273 yards (21 yards per game) with two touchdowns on offense and special teams. He also averaged 28 yards rushing and posted his first tackle.<\/p>\n<p>As a sophomore in 2020, he played in 11 of 12 games, finishing with 23 receptions for 435 yards (18.9 yards per game receiving) and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n<h2>Copeland transferred from Florida to Maryland in December 2021<\/h2>\n<p>In the 2021 season, Copeland appeared in all games (11 starts), with 38 receptions for 607 yards and four touchdowns.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Bowl Game against UCF, he entered the transfer portal. Copeland announced his transfer to the University of Maryland, College Park in December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would like to start off by saying thank you to the fans and coaching staff for the support you have shown and giving me the opportunity to play in the Swamp,&#8221;\u00a0Copeland wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A special thanks to [passing game coordinator] coach Billy G [Gonales] and [director of strength and conditioning] Nick Savage. They have been with me since day one and helped me grow into the athlete and man I am now. I have learned and developed so much while attending the University of Florida over the last four years!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During his junior year at Maryland in 2022, Copeland had 26 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns.
