Editorial standards

Sportv US is a scoreboard first. This page explains the standards behind everything you see on the site.

Accuracy

Scores, schedules and box scores come from an established sports data provider and refresh automatically. A result is shown as final only once the league marks it final; until then, the status line shows the game as in progress.

Time zones and game days

Games are filed under their US game day in Eastern Time, the way the leagues schedule them. Start times are converted to your device's time zone, so you never have to do the math.

Corrections

If a score, a date or a team name is wrong, tell us. We check every report, fix confirmed errors as quickly as possible and, when the data provider is at fault, report the problem upstream.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any league, team, broadcaster or sportsbook, and no one pays to change how games or teams are presented. Partner links, when present, are clearly grouped in the site footer.

Neutral presentation

Games are listed with the away team first and the home team second, as is customary in American sports, and leagues always appear in the same order. We don't rank teams or editorialize results on scoreboards and game pages.
